Skills for today.
Independence for tomorrow.
Creating opportunities for women to learn, earn, and shape their own futures.

Women’s skills and enterprise
Self-help groups connect women with training in palm-leaf handicrafts, shell crafts, tailoring, agriculture, and small enterprise. Savings, credit, and market connections support greater economic independence.
From training to opportunity
The programme approach starts with local livelihoods and skills, then connects training with employment or self-employment. Women’s groups help identify participants and support one another.
Experience in rebuilding livelihoods
Following the tsunami, training in carpentry, masonry, fish processing, and shell craft supported affected communities in Kottilpadu and Kovalam.
Entrepreneurship in Melpuram
An earlier enterprise programme, supported by the Development Commissioner for Small Scale Industries and Canara Bank, linked training with loan facilities for 120 women. This is a historical programme record.
