Our vision
Sustainable development for vulnerable communities, with equal opportunity across caste, religion, and gender.
Since 1993, CADRE-India has worked alongside rural communities to widen opportunity and strengthen participation.

CADRE-India began with a group of social workers and tribal communities in Vilavancode, Kanyakumari. Literacy and health were the starting points for a broader commitment to social change through people’s participation.
A secular, non-partisan voluntary organisation, we work with Adivasi, Dalit, and other economically disadvantaged communities. Women, young people, children, and people with disabilities are central to this work.
Our full name is the Centre for Action Development Research and Education in India.
Sustainable development for vulnerable communities, with equal opportunity across caste, religion, and gender.
Support social, economic, and emotional well-being through education, livelihoods, care, and community participation.
Build self-reliance, protect natural resources, and make inclusion part of everyday community life.
