New Generation Groups
CADRE-India developed New Generation Groups through its work with rural communities in Melpuram Block, Kanyakumari. The programme connects children’s development with the well-being of families and neighbourhoods.
Learning beyond the classroom
Weekly meetings, workshops, vacation camps, and exposure programmes give children space to learn together and build confidence.
A stronger sense of participation
Community interaction encourages people to discuss local needs, access public services, and take part in local governance. Children’s groups extend that spirit to the next generation.
A history of coming together
The earlier programme account described groups involving 150 children. This is a historical reported figure. Contact the team for present activities and ways to contribute.
